How to change batteries in BTE and RIC devices
Changing the battery
Caution: Batteries can degrade in quality if not stored properly in a temperate and dry environment. The temperature should be moderate, without fluctuations, and not in humid places
Check the expiration date of your batteries, the date is indicated on the original packaging
When removing the battery from the packaging, remove the sticker and wait at least 20 seconds to allow the battery to activate properly before inserting it in to the hearing aid
After closing the battery door your hearing aid should turn on and release a tone. You can verify that the hearing aid emits a sound or beep by placing it between your hands. The sound may be subtle, ask another person to confirm if the hearing aid provides any sound

Caution: if this is the case, consult your hearing care professional for instructions and to perform a deep cleaning
