Audio Service offers two different types of mercury free hearing aid batteries. Batteries are available in sizes 10, 13, 312 and 675.

They offer a long run-time and reliable use of your hearing aids. Benefits of use of our brand batteries are:

  • anti-corrosion protection
  • premium durability
  • 100 % tested
  • stable high level of voltage

All Audio Service batteries are zinc-air batteries. To reach full power the batteries need air. Therefore let your battery sit un-tabbed for at least one minute before placing it into your hearing system. Only when enough air has entered the battery there is enough voltage and power to run the hearing aid.

There is no universal answer to the expected life of a hearing system battery. There are many factors that affect how long a hearing aid battery lasts:

  • The more severe your hearing loss the more amplification from the hearing system is required which results in a higher power consumption.
  • Features in today´s hearing aids like Wireless Audio Streaming and AudioLink need more energy.
  • The level of surrounding noise and the volume setting of your hearing system can both prematurely drain the battery.
  • Outside influences are also factors which discharge the battery. Batteries can dry out or take on moisture depending on the humidity level. You should also avoid reduced temperature hereby the voltage of the battery is reduced and increased altitudes.

For storage it is best to keep hearing aid batteries at room temperature. Warm or cold temperatures shorten the expected life of the batteries, do not store batteries in the fridge. You should store the batteries in the blister therefore they cannot leak, burst or short out. Because fresh batteries give your hearing systems the best power we recommend not build up a stock of hearing aid batteries. Normaly your hearing aid batteries are durable for 4 years past date of manufacture. You can find the expiration date as numerical code at the back of the blister.
